Lára Stefánsdóttir hefur verið atvinnudansari síðan 1980 og var fastráðinn dansari við Íslenska dansflokkinn frá 1982 til 2004. Hún dansaði mörg leiðandi hlutverk á þessum árum með flokknum. Lára hefur samið fjölda dansverka, m.a. fyrir Íslenska dansflokkinn, Listdansskóla Íslands, Pars Pro Toto dans-leikhús, og séð um dans/sviðshreyfingar í fjölmörgum uppsetningum við helstu leikhús landsins. Hún lauk mastersnámi í kóreógrafíu við Middlesex University, London vorið 2006. Dansverk Láru hafa verið sýnd víða erlendis, þ.e. Danmörku,Þýskalandi, Líbanon, Austurríki, Frakklandi, Englandi, S-Afríku, Eystrasaltslöndunum, Færeyjum, Japan,Búlgaríu og víðar. Lára er listrænn stjórnandi dans-leikhússins Pars Pro Toto (PPT).
Af dansverkum hennar má nefna Hræringar (1997), Langbrók (1999), Elsa (2000), Jói (2001) Da (2001) og Frosti (2003) samið í tilefni af 30 ára afmæli Íslenska dansflokksins. Síðustu verk Láru eru Luna (2004), Von (2005), Áróra Borealis (2005) G.duo (2007),Svanurinn (2008). Lára hefur unnið til fleiri viðurkenninga og verðlauna fyrir verk sín. Árið 1998 fékk hún 1. verðlaun í Danshöfundasamkeppni Íd fyrir verkið Minha Maria Bonita, í júní 2001 hlaut verk hennar, Elsa, fyrstu verðlaun í alþjóðlegri danshöfundasamkeppni í Helsinki í Finnlandi. Í mars 2002 hlaut dansverkið Jói 1.verðlaun í sólódansleikhúskeppni í Stuttgart í Þýskalandi. Dansverkið Lúna, hlaut Grímuverðlaunin 2004. Fleiri verk Láru hafa fengið tilnefningar til Grímunnar, m.a. dansverkið Systur (2008) sem hún samdi ásamt Ástrós Gunnarsdóttur. Í framhaldi af vinsældum sýningarinnar Systur var PPT veittur styrkur frá Leiklistarráði Íslands, Menntamálaráðuneytinu, til að setja upp sviðsverkið Bræður, frumsýnt á Listahátíð Reykjavíkur, Þjóðleikhúsinu, maí 2010. PPT fékk þriggja ára samstarfssamning við Reykjavíkurborg 2007 -2009. Lára tók við stöðu skólastjóra Listdansskóla Íslands vorið 2009.
Ástrós Gunnarsdóttir útskrifaðist frá Alvin Ailey American Dance Center í New York, 1986. Hún dansaði með Impulse Dance Company í Boston eftir útskrift. Hún er CPI, Certified Pilates Instructor, frá Romana's Pilates, New York og lauk meistaraprófi, MA, í mennta- og menningarstjórnun frá Háskólanum á Bifröst. Ástrós hefur starfað í Boston, New York, Oslo, Turku, Paris, Barcelona, Tokyo, Panamá City og Colombo sem kennari, dansari og/eða danshöfundur. Ástrós hefur unnið sem danshöfundur og aðstoðarleikstjóri við öll helstu leikhús landsins. Meðal þeirra sýninga sem hún hefur unnið við, má nefna: Hárið, Rocky Horror Show, Evita, Anna Karenina, Vald örlaganna, Blóðbrúðkaup, Grease, West Side Story, Singing in the Rain, Piaf, Galdrakarlinn frá Oz, Skilaboðaskjóðan, Latibær, Dýrin í Hálsaskógi, Litla Hryllingsbúðin, Oliver, Gauragangur, Þrek og tár, Óvitar, Litla stúlkan með eldspýturnar og Karíus og Baktus en hún leikstýrði þeim tveimur síðasttöldu.
Síðasta leikhúsverkefni Ástrósar sem danshöfundur var Söngvaseiður, sýnt í Borgarleikhúsinu. Ástrós stýrði og kenndi í nútímadansdeild Listdansskóla Íslands og starfaði við skolann í 9 ár. Hún samdi fjölmörg dansverk fyrir nemendur skólans. Hún kenndi einnig hjá Íslenska Dansflokknum og í mörgum dansskólum í Reykjavík. Hún er einn upphafsmanna Reykjavík Dance Festival, sem er eina danshátíðin sem haldin er reglulega á Íslandi og var framkvæmdarstjóri hátíðarinnar 2005.
Ástrós hlaut tilnefningu sem besti danshöfundur og besti dansari á Grímuhátíðinni 2004 fyrir verk sitt, Skissa, og hefur einnig hlotið tilnefningu fyrir danshönnun í Litlu Hryllingsbúðinni, 2006 og fyrir Litlu stúlkuna með eldspýturnar, 2005, og Karíus og Baktus, 2007, sem bæði hlutu tilnefningu sem besta barnaleikritið. Af öðrum nútímadansverkum Ástrósar má nefna “Af ánægju dansandi stukku”, “Skin” og “Án titils” og videoverkin “Slurp-inn” og “Karl-Í-Mynd” og stuttmyndina “Bakglugginn”. Vorið 2008 sýndi Ástrós verk ásamt Láru Stefánsdóttur sem þær sömdu í sameiningu. Verkið heitir "Systur" og var sýnt í Iðnó, hjá Leikfélagi Akureyrar og í Þjóðleikhúsinu í Panamá. Ástrós kennir Pilates tækni bæði einkatíma og hóptíma og hefur kennt bæði hér á Íslandi, á Sri Lanka og í Panamá.
Hrafnhildur Hagalín Guðmundsdóttir fæddist í Reykjavík árið 1965. Hún lauk klassísku gítarnámi frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík 1986 og lagði stund á frönsku og leikhúsfræði í Sorbonne-háskóla í París 1989-1992. Hún er höfundur fjögurra verka fyrir svið, “Ég er meistarinn” (L.R. 1990), “Hægan, Elektra” (Þjóðleikhúsið 2000), “Norður” (Þjóðleikhúsið 2004) og leikgerðar að “Sölku Völku” (L.R. 2005). Þá hefur hún skrifað fyrir útvarp, sjónvarp og dagblöð auk þýðinga. Hún hlaut Menningarverðlaun DV árið 1991 fyrir leikritið “Ég er meistarinn” og Leikskáldaverðlaun Norðurlanda ári síðar. Verkið hefur verið þýtt á ellefu tungumál og sýnt víða um heim. “Hægan, Elektra” var tilnefnt til Leikskáldaverðlauna Norðurlanda árið 2001 og sýnt í Frakklandi 2008. Hrafnhildur lauk á síðasta ári sex 20 mín. útvarpsverkum fyrir RÚV undir nafninu “Einfarar” (flutt í október-nóvember 2009) og nýverið hljóð- og netverkinu “Herbergi 408” í samvinnu við Steinunni Knútsdóttur sem var frumflutt í samnefndu nýstofnuðu netleikhúsi í október 2009. Verk hennar hafa komið út hjá Máli og menningu, Oxford University Press og Iperborea á Ítalíu. Hrafnhildur býr og starfar í Reykjavík.
Filippía Elísdóttir hefur meðal annars gert búninga fyrir Leitt hún skyldi vera skækja, Meiri gauragang, Laufin í Toscana, Vatn lífsins, Með fullri reisn, Jón Gabríel Borkmann, Svört mjólk, Norður, Engispretturnar, Virkunin og Sorgin klæðir Elektru í Þjóðleikhúsinu auk þess sem hún gerði búninga fyrir Veisluna ásamt Þórunni Sigríði Þorgrímsdóttur. Einnig gerði hún hér búninga fyrir Draum á Jónsmessunótt, Hamlet og Ríkarð þriðja í samstarfi við Vytautas Narbutas og aðstoðaði sama listamann við búninga fyrir Kirsuberjagarðinn. Filippía gerði búninga fyrir söngleikinn Rocky Horror í Loftkastalanum, Hamlet í Odense Teater í Danmörku, Híbýli vindanna, Fjandmann fólksins, Gretti og Boðorðin 9 og Woyzeck í Borgarleikhúsinu, Túskildingsóperuna í Nemendaleikhúsi LHÍ og Galdra-Loft hjá SOF-Teater í Noregi. Hún vann ennfremur við kvikmyndirnar Ungfrúin góða og húsið og Dagurinn í gær. Hún gerði búninga fyrir Sweeney Todd, Flagarann, Brootnámið og La Traviata í Íslensku óperunni og fyrirSvik sem Sögn, Á senunni og LA. Sviðsmynd og búninga gerði hún fyrir Svartan kött og Ökutíma hjá L.A, Leikhúsverkið Open Source fyrir My pocket production og íslenska dansflokkinn. Killer Joe fyrir Leikhúsið Skámána. Hún hefur tvisvar hlotið hin íslensku leikhúsverðlaun Grímuna fyrir Sweeney Todd, Virkjunin og Woyzeck. Hún hefur hlotið tilnefningar fyrir fjölda verka öll ár sem Gríman var stofnuð.
Ívar Helgason lauk söngnámi frá Söngskólanum í Reykjavík árið 2001 og útskrifaðist með framúrskarandi einkunn frá söngleikjadeild Tónlistarháskólans í Vínarborg árið 2003. Ívar hefur farið með fjölmörg hlutverk í leikritum, söngleikjum og óperum, einkum í hinum þýskumælandi heimi og á Íslandi. Hann hefur einnig fengist við leikstjórn, tónlistarstjórn og samið tónlist í hinum ýmsu sýningum. Ívar kennir söng við Söngskólann í Reykjavík og tekur upp tónlist í stúdíóinu sínu Stúdíó Vocal.
Aðalsteinn Kjartansson hefur verið lært samkvæmisdans frá 6 ára aldri, og hefur náð góðum árangri á því sviði. Í dag er hann atvinnumaður í greininni og kennir hjá Dansskóla Ragnars Sverrissonar. Aðalsteinn hefur undanfarið ár starfað mikið í leikhúsi, og má meðal nýlegra verkefna má nefna Sölku Völku í Hafnarfjarðarleikhúsinu og Braunsweig Staatsteater, Grease í Loftkastalanum og Oliver! í Loftkastalanum.

Ástrós graduated from Alvin Ailey American Dance Centre í New York, 1986. After graduation she danced with Impulse Dance Company in Boston. She is CPI, Certified Pilates Instructor, from Romana´s Pilates, New York and finished her master degree, MA, in Art- and Educational Management from the University at Bifröst. Ástrós has worked in Boston, New York, Oslo, Turku, Paris, Barcelona, Tokyo, Colombo and Panamá City as a teacher, dancer and/or choreographer.
Ástrós has worked as a choreographer and assistant director in all the big theatres in Iceland. Among performances she has done are Hair, The Rocky Horror Show, Evita, Anna Karenina, La Forza Del Destino, Blood Wedding, Grease, West Side Story, Singing in the Rain, Piaf, The Wizard of Oz, Lazy Town, Little Shop of Horrors, Oliver, Sound of Music, Little Match girl and Karíus and Baktus but the two last named she directed. Ástrós taught at and was head of the modern dance department at the Icelandic Ballet School for 9 years. She´s taught at the Icelandic Ballet Company and many ballet schools in Iceland, was a guest teacher at Turku Polytek Academy in Finland and at the Joy of Movement in Boston. She is one of the founders of Reykjavik Dance Festival, the only annual dance festival in Iceland and was director of the festival in 2005. Ástrós was nominated as the best choreographer and the best dancer at the Gríma Theater Awards, 2004, for Skissa, a modern dance work and was nominated as a choreographer for The Little Shop of Horrors in 2006. The two children plays she has directed have both been nominated as the best children play; The Little Match girl in 2005 and Karius and Baktus in 2007. Among other modern dance works Ástrós has choreographed are Jumping Fishes, Skin and No Title and the video works Sperm and Men Image and the short movie Rear Window. Spring 2008 Ástrós choreographed and danced a new modern dance theatre piece, along with Lára Stefánsdóttir. They have performed the piece in Iceland as well as in Panamá. The piece is named "Sisters” and the next piece the two are doing is named “Brothers” and will be premiered in May 2010, at the National Theatre in Iceland.
Lára Stefánsdóttir
Lára Stefánsdóttir (www.larastef.is) started her ballet studies at the age of 7 and graduated from the Icelandic National Theatre School of Ballet in 1980. She did further dance training in Kuopio, Dresden, Cologne and Copenhagen. She worked as a dancer with The Icelandic Dance-company (ÍD) since 1980 – 2004 and danced many leading roles. In 1995, the well known Swedish choreographer, Per Jonsson made a solo piece For Lára, which she later danced on many occasions f. ex. Dancing North in Barcelona 1995. Among choreographers she has worked with are; Jorma Uotinen, Jirí Kylián, Rui Horta, Jochen Ulrich, Richard Wherlock and Ed Wubbe. Lára Stefánsdóttir has created dance pieces for The Icelandic Dance Company and Pars Pro Toto dance-theatre. Furthermore she has choreographed in many productions at The Icelandic National Theatre, Reykjavik City Theatre, Icelandic National Television, Reykjavik Chamber Orchestra, Television and many independent companies. In the year 2000 Reykjavik Culture Capital commissioned two new pieces from Lara.
She has been awarded many grants and prices for her work. In 1998 she got the first price at the choreographic competition, City Theatre in Reykjavik. Her piece Elsa (2001) got the first price at the International Choreographic Competition in Helsinki, Finland. And in March 2002 her piece Joy received 1st price at The 6th International Solo-Dance-Theatre festival in Stuttgart, Germany. In June 2004, her work Luna (2004) received the Icelandic award called Griman. After many years of choreographic experience and work, she received a Masters degree in Arts-Choreography, from Middlesex University, London 2006. In 2003 she got certificated Pilates instructor from The Pilates Studio in The Hague, Holland. She is running her own Pilates studio in Reykjavík (www.toney.is). Her latest dance-works called G.duo (2007) and Von (2005) were performed at The Icelandic festival in Stuttgart, Germany in May, 2007. Svanurinn (2008) a duet made for the ÍD got extremely good responses. And the work “Sisters” (2008) made and performed by Stefánsdóttir, Ástrós Gunnarsdóttir and Hrafnhildur Hagalín was a big success. Lara's choreography has been performed worldwide in Europe, Asia, S-Africa, USA and Britain. Lára Stefánsdóttir has been the director of Iceland National Ballet School since spring 2009.
Hrafnhildur Hagalín
Born in Reykjavík in 1965, Hrafnhildur Hagalín graduated from the Reykjavík College of Music as a classical guitarist and later studied Literature and Theatre at the University of Sorbonne, Paris-IV. Her first play, “I am the Maestro”, was produced at the Reykjavík City Theatre and won her the Icelandic Critics´ Award in 1991 and the Nordic Theatre Prize in 1992. It has since been translated to twelve languages and produced in many countries around the world, including Australia, France and the USA. It was nominated as Best Foreign Play in Italy in 2004. “Easy now, Electra”, Hrafnhildur´s second play, premiered at the Icelandic National Theatre in 2000 and was nominated to Gríman, the Icelandic Theatre Prize, as the Best Icelandic Play in 2001. It was produced in France in 2008. Her other plays include “North” 2004, “Salka Valka” (an adaption of the novel by Nobel Prize winner Halldór Laxness) 2005, a television play and the radio play “Loners” which was broadcast by the Icelandic State Broadcasting System in September of 2009. Her plays have been published by Mál og menning in Reykjavík, Iperborea (Io sono il Maestro, 2003) and Oxford University Press (Easy now, Electre in Anthology of Modern Women Playwrights of Europe, 2002 ). Hrafnhildur lives in Reykjavík.
Ívar Helgason
Ívar graduated from the Reykjavík Academy of Vocal Arts in 2001 and graduated with distinction from the University of Performing Arts in Vienna in 2003. Ívar has performed in a number of plays, musicals and operas, mainly in German-speaking countries and in Iceland. He has also worked in music and drama-direction and music composition. He teaches singing in the Reykjavík Academy of Vocal Arts and records music in his studio Studio Vocal.
Vinicius
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius grew up surrounded by Samba music, Samba dance and theatre. He first arrived in Germany in 1992, where he started working for a Samba Company in Duisburg. From 1994 to 1999 he studied at the Wilhelm's-University of European Ethnology (with dance as a speciality) and parallel to his studies he spent five years as a student at the dance theatre school Der Kleinen Bühnendoden, also Münster, taking part in several dance pieces. Since 1996 he has given classes to children, teenagers and adults in improvisation, dance theatre and samba (Ethno Samba, Samba Hip Hop and Contemporary Samba) in different primary, art, dance schools and at universities in Germany, in Austria and in other European countries. Vinícius writes poetry too. He formed his dance theatre group “Grenzenlos” (without frontiers) in the year 2000. His dance piece was composed from his poetry in German and live-music. After three years study 2002-2005 he graduated in Dance Pedagogy from the German Institute for Integrative Dance Pedagogy in Berlin.
In addition, he is also one of the co-founders of The Fantast Artist Institute for stage singers, providing them coaching around performance and show conception skills in 2009 he published as a co-author the book Vocal Performance Coach for singers. In the same year he became his Master degree in Arts-Choreography by Middlesex University, London.
Aðalsteinn Kjartansson is a professional ballroom dancer and a dance teacher. Aðalsteinn teaches at one of Iceland biggest dance school, Dansskóli Ragnars Sverrissonar. For the past year, Aðalsteinn has taken part in many theatre productions, most recently Salka Valka in Hafnarfjarðarleikhúsið and Braunschweig Staatstheater, Grease in Loftkastalinn and Oliver! in the national theatre.
